Last week we showed you how to Select & Identify the piece of equipment you were going to review on ChefWorthy.Pro. Now that you’ve done that, we going to take you the initial part of the review process.

The first thing you’ll see after clicking on the Continue Button from the Select & Identify section is the following screen asking you what your involvement with the equipment is and how long have you owned or used it (if you weren’t the person that purchased it).

As you answer the questions, you’ll notice a green status bar appear at the top of the window indicating how much progress you’ve made towards completion of your review.

The next section explores your experiences with the equipment. Using a sliding 1 to 5 scale, we want your candid and honest opinion on Ease of Operation, Ease of Cleaning, Ease of Maintenance, Versatility, and your Overall Experience.

Good news that you’re in the home stretch: Final Thoughts.

The Final Thoughts section is where ChefWorthy give you a great opportunity to share your experiences beyond simple ratings. This is where your voice gets amplified through the use of your own words. We explore:

  • Any negatives to using the equipment
  • Describe your overall experience
  • Would you recommend the equipment to a colleague

Once you completed the Final Thoughts section, you click on “Finish Review” to take you to the last section: Confirm & Submit.

The final step is Confirm & Submit. But before that can happen, we just need to make sure of a few things. Firstly, you need to decide if you want to post your review anonymously. We realize not everyone wants to know they wrote a review. We respect your privacy, so that’s your choice. However, you should know that reviews with names and titles attached to them carry more weight with buyers than those that don’t. So if you really want people to take your reviews seriously, don’t hide.

The next thing to enter is the Title/Headline of your review. Truth is, writing headlines is harder than it looks. So hard there are actual professional headline writers because apparently, they’re way better at writing headlines than amateur headline writers. Like you and me. So what are some of the things that you can do to make headlining your review easier?

1. Repurpose. You’ve already written good or bad things about your equipment. Copy and paste part of a sentence right into the headline. Let’s say you wrote “I think this fryer is the best fryer ever!”. Your headline could be “Best Fryer Ever”. Piece of cake.

2. Restate. Using our fryer as an example again, if you rated your fryer a 5 for ease of use, make that your headline: “ Solid 5 for Ease of Use”

3. Recommend. At the end of each review, ChefWorthy asks if you would recommend the equipment you reviewed to a colleague. For your Headline, that becomes “Highly Recommended!”. Or “Would Definitely Recommend”. Or if you wouldn’t recommend it, “Avoid Like The Plague!”

Of course, if you fancy yourself a warrior with words, by all means, please feel free to wordsmith to your heart’s content. At ChefWorthy, we encourage our community of culinary professionals to be creative, accurate and honest in capturing the essence of their reviews. But when all else fails, you can always rely on the Three R’s: Repurpose, Restate & Recommend.

After titling review, we ask if some ask to write this review. Not ChefWorthy. We ask people all the time to write reviews. We mean some who might have a reason (good or bad) to have you write a review.

Just Click “Submit My Review” and you’re good to go.

Once the ChefWorthy team, vets, verifies and publishes the review online, you’ll be sent your Amazon Gift Code as our way of saying Thank You.

Congratulations! You’ve attained the status of Novice Reviewer. For those that want to rise to the level of Master Reviewer, look for our next chapter of the ChefWorthy Nickel Tour as we show you how to complete an Extended Review.
